Buddhist Monk Mistakes Superglue for Eye Drops

BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) — Doctors have partially restored the sight of an 81-year-old Buddhist monk who accidentally glued his eyes shut when he mistook a tube of superglue for eye drops.

The doctors at Angthong Hospital (search), 60 miles north of Bangkok, used a chemical solvent, acetone, to dissolve the glue in the monk's right eye, a hospital spokesman said. The two-hour operation was done Feb. 23.

"His eye is not damaged, the right eye can see clearly after the operation and the doctors said the left eye also is not damaged," a hospital spokesman said.

The monk, Phra Khru Prapatworakhun, who is the abbot of a temple in Angthong, was to have his left eye operated on later.

Washington - AP

The Democratic Party has decided to remain with thier national symbol, the Ass. But now, due to a change of leadership in the party, they feel like they are more served with a picture of an actual human ass then that of a donkey. Since it seems to be the sole objective of the Democratic party to stop anything the Republicans bring to congress, even if it does reform and save a dying system, They have come up for a new party platform: The Policy of Congressional Constipation, falling in line with their new choice of mascot. Other reasons sited for the change in symbol have been that everything that comes out of their mouth is bullshit.

Gmail Invites available! [Feb. 11th, 2005|09:43 am]
[mood |thoughtfulthoughtful]

I have 50 Gmail invites, all you need to do is reply to this post with your E-mail address and first name, and I will send the invite ASAP! Its that easy! If you are at Exeter, you can forward all the mail that you get at your @exeter.edu account to your gmail account, and never have to delete an e-mail again! If you don't know how, just ask and I will answer.

" What makes Gmail different?

Gmail uses Google search technology to automatically organize and find messages. And because Gmail includes 1,000 megabytes of storage, a typical user won't ever have to worry about deleting mail. Everything just gets archived so it can be found again if needed.

There are other differences in the way Gmail provides access to your email. For example, Gmail automatically groups an email and the replies to it as a conversation. That means you always see a message in its proper context. And there are no pop-ups or banner ads in Gmail, just relevant text ads and links to related pages. Gmail's other distinctive features include a labeling system, a spam reporter and a system for filtering your mail as it comes into your inbox. Learn More."

Affirmative Action: Reaffirming Racism [Jan. 28th, 2005|07:33 pm]

Of all the moronic liberal policies out there, there is not one more so than Affirmative action. What were you thinking? Affirmative Action, is, by far, the most Racist policy since Jim Crow. To think, that even though I worked harder than a black person, the black person has a higher chance of getting into University of Michigan just because he is black, and you think he "Deserves" it more than I because of how his gandparents were treated 40 years ago is not only stupid, its borderline insanity. 'nuff said.

Silly silly Liberals, why do you forsake yourselves so? Not only do you lose the presidential election that you were so sure you were gonna win, but you all but lost any control in the government! You never cease to amaze me. I think America has finally figured out how radical and inhearently wrong you are. There is no other explaination for it: the far left wing has transformed the entire democratic party to such a crippling state that only by showing yourselves in a more moderate light, can you be saved from complete political destruction. Of course it will never happen anytime soon as long as you idolize Howard Dean, support Hillory Clinton for president, and call Barrack Obama your next rising star. I almost pity the moderate democrat that no longer has a place within their party.Virtually every white person that regularly attends church is a Republican. Do you wonder why that is? Wonder no longer, I have your answer: we understand that there is evil in the world. The Liberal ideal is based on the perception that everyone who commits a crime was in someway forced to do it, and they think that there is a way to "convert" the evildoer back to his good side. We, as conservatives, know better. We understand that there is evil in the world, and that is why the American people trused us with their government. They are tired of your yelling, your mad shameless protests, your tree hugging, and your moronic ideas. You don't see me chaining myself to people getting abortions. They chose us not because your candidate was inadequate (which he was), but because they know better than to vote for your increasingly radical party.
